10 Exciting Museum Sleepovers in the Mid-Atlantic Corridor – It’s almost that time for school to be out for summer. What are you planning to do with your kids? A museum sleepover is a not only a fun activity but a way to continue education throughout the summer. I have put together a list of 9 exciting museum sleepovers in the Mid-Atlantic Corridor for you to check out.
1)National Archives: With history, heroes, and treasures, your kids can spend the night under some of the most precious treasures in the U.S. The Washington D.C. sleepover will feature hands-on activities that teach kids the power of responsibility and how they can be good citizens. One chaperone per 4 children is needed. Tickets are $125 per participant. These events are open for 8-12-year-olds, only.
2) Franklin Institute: Take a gravity defying ride on the Blue Angels flight simulator, explore your brain, and experience a live performance when you have a sleepover at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Tickets are $54.50 per person, and children ages 6-13 are welcome to attend.

7) Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum: Kids from ages 8-12 can enjoy an adventure of a lifetime as they travel through time exploring and maintain the great lamp at the lighthouse in Talbot Country – St. Michael’s Maryland. With $40 per person, your kids can enjoy costumes, historic objects, and games
8) Calvert Marine Museum: Exciting dreams are sure to take place as your kiddos sleep under the jaws of a giant Megalodon Shark. Overnights are a great treat for birthday parties, scout troops, church youth groups, or a group of friends and family to explore culture and history. As one of the least expensive at $25 a person, you get a pizza dinner, a special program, hands-on activities, a movie, and breakfast.
9) Carnegie Science Center: The Carnegie Science Center of Pittsburgh has multiple times and dates available for an incredible science discovery sleepover. Bring the family or a group for only $39 a person. Depending on the dates you are available, you can choose from an array of themes including Gaming, Engineer the Future, Tropical Science, Odd Squad, Astronomy, Science Fair – Mad Science, Robotics, Camping, Sci-Fi, and Girls Only – CSI.
10) Maryland Science Center: If you have a Girl/Boy Scout, youth group, or organized school, Maryland Science Center is allowing an overnight sleepover for grades 3-5. So grab a group, and register for a night of hands-on science activities, IMAX planetarium features, and opportunities to fill badge requirements at Maryland Science Center. Ages: 3rd-5th grade.
