It’s back to school and back to struggling over math for many kids (and parents!). Fear not, I have some great ideas for 4th grade math games.
This is a great electronic 4th grade math game. You can use it for one or two players, and has lots of different math concepts to practice. I really like the fact that it builds on “basic” math facts such as addition and subtraction, while enforcing multiplication and division. It then goes on to algebra, so all the bases are covered. Kids wants electronic games – it’s all the rage so if you can tie in an electronic game with education you’re one step up on getting them to learn.
I purchased this one for my son maybe about 6 months ago after reading the reviews and we’ve been VERY happy with it. I even have him play it for a few minutes at night after his shower before he goes to bed.
I think my son would’ve LOVED this game too. What’s better than a game that let’s you learn math and use a mallet to do it? Learning Resources Light N Strike math.
Last year when I was on the hunt for 4th grade math games for kids I found Math War too. Now, I’m a home school mom but I’ve also had 2 of my kids in traditional school so I have quite a bit of information to draw upon to know what works and what doesn’t work. Buying some of these cool math games was hit or miss when you’re just reading reviews and looking at games online so if I can save a few parents from getting a “dud” I’ll be a happier mom. ☺ The Math War games are CHEAP and easy to use and portable – all great features.
Math War – This comes in a couple different card games and it’s pretty inexpensive too (I like that). You can get Math War Multiplication – just $2.69 or Math War Addition & Subtraction – Just $2.69
