I spoke with management today at Giant since the corporate office is closed today…… Giant does accept competitors coupons! This means that, in additional to standard printable manufacturer’s coupons and Sunday Newspaper insert coupons, that you can use Target store coupons, Rite Aid store coupons, Walgreens store coupons etc! This is a BIG Deal and may might for some nice deals in the future. That would be great since Giant tends to run a little high with their prices (in my estimation anyway).
Now, remember that their registers will still not allow you to use more than 1 coupon on 1 item so there is no stacking. If you find an item for sale and there is a store coupon from another store that makes it a good deal – use it!
There are a few deals for Giant that I will post this week later today or tomorrow. The manager I spoke with assured me that ALL Giant stores received the same letter informing them to accept competitors coupons. If you run into a cashier that is unaware of the new policy just politely ask for management.
And….Don’t forget that Giant will price match! What does that mean anyway? It means you can bring in the sale circular of a competitor and show it to the cashier (needs a valid date etc) and the cashier will give you the price for that item in the competitors sale circular. Why would a person do this – What is the benefit? Just to save time from shopping with 2 grocery stores! So put simply- convenience! Not a bad idea!

I stack them all the time at my super giant..Actually I have two giants within about 5 miles and I have done it at both giants. But, they don’t price match..I was told that they will not price match..
