You actually get back $5 in Jingle Cash for purchasing 6 packages of tissue paper (6/$2 with in store coupon=get back $5 Jingle cash). If you purchase 2 of the BOGO $1.99 wrapping paper, you get back $2 Jingle Cash. I read on another blog that people that tried to purchase 6 of the wrapping paper did not get back the $5 Jingle Cash.

Hi I posted last week about the Melatonin issue I had at my Walgreens here in Florida. Well I went today to do the gift wrap deal because they were wiped out of the tissue paper and had so many problems. First off I went to a nice cashier and I had 6 gift wrap paper. When I handed the .50 coupon it beeped. She got an assistant manager and the assistant manager read it over asked me where I got the coupon from I said off the computer she told me she was going to look it up because she had never seen it before. So now I’m standing there waiting… 15 minutes passes she still hasn’t come back the cashier is saying wow this is taking a long time. So here comes the store manager. He says did you get everything fixed and the cashier says no, I’m still waiting for Amy (the asst manager) the manager has the coupon in his hand and says I can’t use it because it is for the expensive paper. I tell him where does it say that on the coupon (I usually don’t like to cause a fuss but now I’m a little mad because we’re going on over 20 minutes of standing there with my 3 year old in tow) He says it doesn’t but thats what its for and he says I’ll be right back I’m going to go look. No joke another 5 minutes passes and he comes towards the cashier and says I can’t find anything just whatever take it and walks away. So the cashier is looking at me and doesn’t know what to do. She said she can’t ring it up without his key…
So here comes the female asst manager she says you still haven’t taken care of this I gave it to so and so the manager (didn’t catch his name) to make a decision. Well to make a longer story shorter she would only allow me to use 3 coupons she said I can’t use a coupon on a free item I said you can but left it at that. Well then after I paid my $4.50 I didn’t get my rr. Do you think I should complain?
Oh yeah, and while I was waiting for them to come back the cashier said they were talking about me the other day and the pdf melatonin coupons I used the manager was saying she didn’t think they were legit. The cashier told the manager I don’t think she would give us bad coupons and then keep coming in here.
I think I am done with Walgreens. Sorry for the long story just frustrated.
I hate to hear stories like that! That one is pretty extreme to leave you standing there so long with your child! My daughter NEVER would have tolerated that…. She’s not quite 2 year old. I would complain – absolutely! Call the number for Walgreens customer service on the Walgreens Store Guide on the blog and tell them what happened. (its in the top navigatinal bar under stores)
You don’t deserve to be treated like a criminal becasue you’re living a frugal life! My gosh!!! If you aren’t up to the phone call you could send an e-mail. Be sure to tell them that you’ve had a problem with this store in the past. Do you have your Walgreens coupon policy with you? Its on the blog under the Walgreens store guide as well.
Where is the Walgreens? Beth is in Valucia County but Amy and Charles are in Jacksonville. I’d like to know if it happens to be a store they frequent, by chance. Amy is the woman that comments on the blog frequently. She and Charles are extreme couponers out of Jacksonville.
Please try hard not to get discouraged! You definately need to have a copy of your coupon policy. Whenever my savings have been in quesitons, I pulled it out and went over it breifly and never had a problem thereafter – its always worked like a charm!!! There is nothing in that policy that says you can’t use a pdf coupon and nothing that says you can’t use a coupon on a free item! Period!
I wish I was down there shopping with you! Please try not to get too discouraged. Keep coming back and let me know if there is anything else I can do!

I think I am going to write an email because the more I thought about it the angrier I got because I think they did that to me with the Walgreens coupon because they thought I gave them a fraudulent coupon for the Melatonin…I totally felt like I was a criminal!!

Hi Tracy,, I am in Volusia County Orange City to be exact and I feel for you hun in the “Walgreens Saga” that we sometimes have to go through, It’s very frustrating I KNOW but in the world of couponing it seems we have to be “Vigilant” in getting what we are supposed to be getting from the start.
I actually had a Manager tell me the other day that they don’t reduce the price of the coupon to meet the product, I had to pull out the Coupon Policy that I printed from this site and show him that they are indeed supposed to REDUCE the price of the coupon, he had never even taken the time to read it himself..It boils down to this Tracy, his problem is a Corporate problem and it’s in ALL Walgreens, if at any time you feel that it isn’t going to your needs as a mother, wife or person LEAVE the store and everything there and call Corporate, keep Corporates number on your speed dial on your cell phone and while they are “Looking” into it you let them know you are as well with “Corporate” and call right in front of them…Walgreens has lots of sales that are Really Good and it gets hard some days (my tissue paper deal fell through, so you did better then me :), took you an hour though) Don’t give up and keep the fight going it does get easier to handle and less frustrating I promise but do keep Corporates number in your phone and a copy of the Walgreens coupon Policy in your purse I don’t leave home without it :)..Write back here anytime if you have any other problems or concerns..
P.S. How do you feel about me bringing Publix on board?
