If you have kids then you NEED stain remover, right? Well I want you to try my frugal recipe so that you save even more money. Save money EVERY way you can because you’ll then have more money for a dream vacation, a new car, or whatever you like!
Ingredients for homemade stain remover recipe
- 1/2 Cup liquid laundry detergent
- 1/2 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup hydrogen peroxide
- 3 cups hot water
- 1 spray bottle
Mix baking soda in warm water to dissolve, then pour baking soda mixture and all other ingredients into spray bottle. Spray stained clothes as needed to pre-treat stains before washing. Note: Mixture is best if used within 1 month as the stability of the hydrogen peroxide will begin to deteriorate if not kept shut in a dark colored bottle. I use about 1 container full per week but I have 4 kids (6 total people in our family) so we have quite a but of laundry. You could certainly cut the recipe in 1/2 for a smaller family.
Note: For coffee, tea and grass stains add 1/3 cup vinegar to mixture. For grease stains add 1 tbsp Dawn dish liquid. To go completely chemical free get All Free and Clear. Reduce to 1/4 cup for above recipe for the heavy concentrated formulas.
This recipe should cut your cost of stain remover by about 2/3rds to 75%. Nice savings!
