Back to School Poem

“It’s nearly September,” they silently cheered;

Through aisles of pencils and folders they steered.

Colorful folders, and binders and glue,

Indelible markers of all widths and hues.

And straggling behind them the short family members

Were muttering quietly, “It’s nearly September.”
