Ok so you’ve decided that you’d like a BIG flat screen tv, right? No, I mean

B I G flat screen tv but you’re not sure about the price. After all tv’s are expensive and the bigger you go the more expensive they seem to get. Well I’ve been doing some research on Walmart tv sales on refurbished products and I am impressed! It’s NOT what you would think at all – this is exciting stuff. Let me explain it all to you and you’ll see what a “refurbished” tv really means.  In many cases it’s just that someone sent it back because of a scratch or a SMALL nick in the side of the tv. Some are even listed as “refurbished models” because they were the floor model in your local Walmart store.Really! Read my research below on refurbished tv’s and you’ll be so excited you did. 

When an HDTV shows up in a dirty, torn or damaged box they are many times returned to the vendor. Those tv’s are then checked out by the factory technicians, repaired if necessary, then sold as “refurbished.” That is where you can score a deal. You’ll also be excited to know that it appears to me that the refurbished Walmart tv is also sold to you with all the SAME warranties as the brand new televisions (meaning you’ll be offered an extended service agreement, warranty etc) So my research shows that most major retailers, including Walmart, return tv’s that are consumer returns, scratched, dented etc to the manufacturer. The tv’s are then “fixed” if a fix is needed, or a side is replaced if scratched etc and then they’re checked out and cleared by the factory and sold as refurbished at a discount.
