I had soooo much fun with my daughter when we decided to jazz it up this July 4th and make these fun and patriotic juice boxes for the kids, They were a HUGE hit and so unique too!
Ok, so I’m just going to walk you through making these because they’re so easy you can make them with your 5 year old like I just did! You’ll need 3 rolls of colored tape – I used 3M (it’s a great brand!).
What you’ll need;
- Juice Box (Minute Maid ☺)
- White Tape
- Blue Tape
- Red Tape
Cover your juice box with white (completely in white – don’t worry you can poke another hole for the straw). After you’ve covered the box in white decide on your design. I made some in the flag design and some just with the red, white, and blue colors. The flag is a little more difficult but still very manageable with a sharp pair of scissors to make your cut for the blue rectangle and the red stripes (remember your box is now white so you don’t need to add a white stripe as white is already there.
On the plain with just a red white and blue stripe all you’ll follow the same directions to turn the box all white then add a blue stripe to the top and a red one to the bottom (or vice versa)
TIP: If you’re scissors are not sharp you won’t get nice clean lines. If you get glue on scissors from the tape then use alcohol to remove from the scissors so you can finish. Also – if you have a utility knife you can use that to make your cuts against a ruler for a nice clean edge
