I was recently invited to an open house tour of BJ’s Wholesale Club. Of course, the idea of trying out some different kinds of food and checking out this big box store was intriguing since I had not been in a BJ’s in about 15 years. So, of course I said “yes.”
Well boy oh boy was I in for a surprise. The store had to be the most clean retail store I’ve been in within the last 10 years! Really! The aisles were perfectly stocked, the floors, carts and departments were clean and everything had a label. I’ll show you my images of my fun tour of BJ’s but 1st I want to tell you what makes BJ’s stand out from any other retail “club stores.” BJ’s accepts COUPONS! Not only do they accept coupons but BJ’s releases their own coupons and you can STACK a manufacturer’s coupon on top of a BJ’s coupon to double your savings! No other big box wholesale club offers this feature. None! That alone makes BJ’s my new best friend!
Shopping at a store and having to find someone to give you a price check is seriously frustrating but BJ’s had everything clearly market and even has a special sign noting their top 10 Christmas toys (of course Olaf made the list! Lol)
The produce department has great prices and I really like that they offer large bags of fruits for big families like mine (or parties) AND smaller bags. Sometimes when I’m buying something I’m the only one in the family that eats that particular item and now I know I don’t have to buy enough for my entire neighborhood – just enough for me.
BJ’s has an organic line of products as well as their own person line called Wellsley and it was graet. I tried the Mac and Cheese this week and it was creamy and delicious. As long as it passed the kid taste test (Yes, I have one picky eater at home) then I’m a happy mom.
The meat department was fabulous and I loved the sign noting the FREE custom cutting! Nice feature that I haven’t seen elsewhere.
They had some great treats for the furry friends in your life – dog treats (among many other options for pets). Perfect for our Siberian Husky this Christmas! That is my Samantha in the picture picking out what she wants to give the dog for Christmas. Those treats looks like something for people. I’m going to get a good laugh if one of the kids thinks they are people cookies and takes a bite! Lol!!!
Here’s the spread of delicious food we had the opportunity to try. The coconut cake was delicious (anything coconut is always my favorite) and I was worried about embarrassing myself eating the crab wontons but they were sooo good! It was all delicious, really.
Right now you can get a FREE membership to BJ’s (before December 31st) so you can try it out for 60 days. I’m already convinced. I don’t have any membership to any wholesale clubs but my mother has always been a SAMS Club shopper. Well I came home with the BJ’s coupons and explained to her how we could stack coupons and now she’s asked me to take her to BJ’s to do her Thanksgiving dinner shopping on Monday. The only problem I’ll have is keeping my daughter, Samantha, away from the Olaf toy since she’s getting one for Christmas!
