Well now that we’re all stuffed from a delicious turkey dinner I have to admit that as much as I love shopping that there are some families that just want to opt out of the holiday Thanksgiving weekend rush and support the local businesses that make up the heart of Maryland by staying local with their pocket books and local with their fun! Well tomorrow is Small Businesses Saturday – that means
it’s time to give big business a break and discover the culture, creativity, and fun right here in Maryland! Visit Arts & Entertainment Districts throughout the state, offering a feast for the senses, where you can find outstanding restaurants, incredible art galleries, concerts and more. Those of you that didn’t host a meal won’t have leftover so that means you’ll still be on the look out for some local yummy delights! Lol!!!
You can also head to one of Maryland’s 28 designated Main Streets for holiday deals in support of Small Business Saturday, featuring locally-owned boutique shops, where you can find unique gifts for friends and family. Many time you’ll see crafters with gifts you can’t find elsewhere and you’ll be supporting the faces that make up your communities! That’s a win – win in my book!
Have fun!
