Fathom Cruise Line: Travel with a Mission – Do you want to help others less fortunate than you? Do you want to show your kids the world around them? With Fathom Cruise line, you get the best of both worlds. I’m heading on a cruise May 22nd and my excitement is growing by the day! You get to help your kids explore the world around them while being able to change it for the better!  Our family is so excited about this amazing opportunity to Travel with Fathom Cruise Line to the Dominican Republic. Here’s what we are excited about:

We get to Meet Like Minded People:
My kids have the opportunity to journey with other people who love helping others as well. This is a great opportunity for them to meet new people from all over the world that share a common interest of making life better for humanity. My boys know that taking a place in their community is expected of them but they have no idea how different the needs are of a community in a 3rd world country. I want them to become well rounded citizens of humanity. Kids today seem to think that catching a ride to the mall or not getting the latest game the 1st day it’s released is a “problem.” I need them to see that those are what I call “1st world problems” and that kids in other countries have 3rd world country problems like: shoes, health care, clean water, and food.

We get to Travel to the Dominican Republic:
Because we have never actually traveled to the Dominican Republic on a cruise, we are excited to explore the trip. Fathom Travel sends like-minded people to various developing communities in need of charitable support and for our trip, and we get to help the Dominican Republic. Right now Fathomn is in Cuba – another country in need of assistance.

It’s a Learning Experience
Fathom Cruise Line makes this experience one that is both helpful, but educational & safe as well. In the Dominican Republic, we will work as a team to help developing communities which will allow us to fully immerse ourselves into their cultural background dealing directly with the people in the villages. In the Dominican Republic, we will work hard to impact the areas of education, arts, environmental studies, entrepreneurship, and access clean drinking water.  These things are a given in the United States but NOT in the Dominican Republic.

It will Show My Kids a New Way of Life:
In America, we can get so caught up in all the luxuries that we have, that we forget how fortunate we actually are. I love that Fathom Cruise Line offers me the ability to show my kid’s different cultures in a way that allows them to make a real difference in the world.

The only way to change the world is to do it one step at a time starting with me and my family. Fathom Cruise Line makes it possible to change our lives as well as the lives of other people.
