Capon Springs – All Inclusive Family Trips – All Inclusive Resort Deals Day#1 – Recently my family got to step back in time and unwind at Capon Springs, West Virginia, a beautiful vacation destination just a few hours’ drive from Washington, DC. If you are looking to unplug and spend quality time with those you love, step back in time to a place where courtesy and respect are alive and well and the activities are outdoors, allowing you to reconnect with nature. Doesn’t that sound heavenly? It is!
Capons Springs is a magnificent old-fashioned resort that comes with a great price tag when you are looking to save a little money, but get a one of a kind experience this summer. No appointments to make, carpools to drive, beds to make, meals to plan. At Capon Springs, all the chores are done for you. The meals are included in your resort package and they even include an evening snack. How’s that for hospitality? Honestly until January of this year I didn’t even know an “all inclusive” resort was available within a short drive of the Washington DC metro area! I thought you had to leave the country for those features!
On our first day at the resort we checked in at the front desk (and checked out of the “real world”) and were greeted warmly by the staff. We were shown to our room, comfortable, clean and welcoming. We wanted to see the area before we decided on an activity, so we walked the grounds, visiting the library and the game room and took in the beautiful scenery all around us. The grounds were beautifully manicured and such a feeling of peace is enjoyed all over the resort.
Our first family fun activity was swimming in the Capon Springs spring fed swimming pool. Cool mountain water, clear, clean air and a very happy family. Afterwards, cooled down and feeling very refreshed, we spend the afternoon lounging on the many hammocks spread throughout the grounds and swinging on swings, whiling spending the hours without a care in the world. No emails to check. No phones to answer. Just the family and nature!
Dinner was delicious and served at our personal table. The food is all made from scratch and is all you can eat with many items being used from the Capon Springs farms – like fresh eggs! Double desserts are encouraged! Lol! Afterward, we played some good old family games like shuffleboard and ping pong and then ended the night with Bingo. Need I say more? Family fun and the ultimate relaxing atmosphere are what Capon Springs had to offer and my family wasn’t complaining! We needed time to remember the important things in life – family and fun!
Stay tuned for Day 2 (go here to read day #2) of our family vacation at Capon Springs resort in West Virginia, where family time is a priority and the outside world seems a million miles away.
