Capon Springs – All Inclusive Family Trips – All Inclusive Resort Deals, Day #2 – Our second day of vacation at Capon Springs, West Virginia was just as pleasant at the first. We felt like we had stepped back to a time when families had good, wholesome fun together and there were no laptops, cellphones and iPads to drain our attention away from each other. Moms can relax without worries about carpooling, meal planning or house cleaning and Dads can spend the day lounging in a hammock and leave all the stresses of the workplace far, far away. Kids can do what kids were meant to do – swim, run and play. Everyone can sleep in, eat good food and be treated with courtesy and respect. Such a wonderful place to be!
Day 2 started with some swimming and a light hike around the property. There are six different trails best for different ages and abilities or you can walk down the road to the Fish Pond for some fishing or continue to Hog Heaven, and visit our pigs! There is fossil hunting, frisbee golf, tennis, basketball, croquet and horseshoes to keep you busy and my son even enjoyed a private golf lesson. In the afternoon we did more swinging, reclining in hammocks and soaking up some fresh air, then played a family game of badminton, the kids climbed some trees and used up some energy on the playground. Capon Springs has something for everyone and you can keep busy or just lay back and let the world pass by.
After dinner on our last night at the resort there was a hayride, one for younger kids and one for older kids and college students. There were many things we didn’t get to do this time, such as the Caponchase Adventure, which is a treasure hunt of sorts for adults. For those with young children, there are the kids kamps and supervised playground times to allow adults an opportunity to unwind a bit alone.
Because the world didn’t really disappear, we had to return to our daily lives and leave Capon Springs, West Virginia behind, but the next time we are overwhelmed and feel the need to step back, unplug and relax, I know exactly the place to return to. As a busy mom it feels like we spend so much time shopping, preparing meals, doing laundry and cleaning up. Capon Springs allowed us to have time to just be with our family and enjoy leaving the chores of daily life behind.
A big thanks to Capon Springs for hosting our family and helping us to create the memories of a lifetime! Capon Springs is fabulous in the summer but I’m equally sure it would be spectacular in the fall with the changing of the leaves and the crisp mountain air!
If you missed day #1 at Capon Springs go here.
