There aren’t many times in life that you get to interview the REAL Spider-Man from Marvel Universe live now touring the US but, I just found out the most amazing things about this agile super hero!
Meet Matthew Daos, real life super hero and stunt man for the Spider-Man character in the Marvel Universe Live event now touring the United Stated and coming to the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, MD this April 5th-8th.
Well, let me start by saying that Matthew is a really fun and exciting man that is living out his dreams – a life of travel, performing and having fun. Who knew you could be paid to make kids smile and cheer while exercising and fighting off “bad guys” right? Mr. Daos does just that and whats amazing is that he shared with me that he still loves and feeds off of the roar and excitement in the crowd 3 years after starting this magnificent career. At this point he shared that he wasn’t sure if he would ever grow tired of the kind of fun that he has performing.
Matthew was born and raised in the tropics of Honolulu, Hawaii – paradise! When I asked him what it was that likely landed this big league career he feels most certain that it was his life long passion of martial arts. He’s been studying his craft for as long as he can remember and he says that is the key to being nimble in his role with Spider-Man. Well, I should add that it’s not just a hobby of Matthews, he was world Champion in 2016. That’s no surprise being that is childhood role model was Bruce Lee!
He’s also amazingly down to Earth and humble expressing a love of family and friends. He says if he wasn’t performing he’d open a martial arts studio to share his talents with the community. He’s known for being talented, young and fun by his family and he’s also garnered the nickname of “baby spidey” which always warms his heart.
