Who knew that sharks had personalities (page 186) or that there were four hundred thousand different plant species on the Earth (page 98), or that there are more geysers in Yellowstone National Park than anywhere else on the Earth? Filled with captivating color photos and amazing facts about the Earth past as well as present, the National Geographic Kids 2020 Almanac is a SURE winner in my house!
Although the book clearly states “kids” on the front I’d say this is a fun family book great for trivia, car trips and kids that just love nature and the Earth. The 2020 Almanac packs in so much information you’ll find your kids delighted and intrigued…. And maybe even asking for a vacation to a distant or remote location! National Geographic Kids creates explorers and kids that think and question everything they touch and see.
This book is also an excellent choice for parents looking to refresh old almanacs, get kids off of the constant screen time and get them exploring (think STEM) in their own back yards!
This book was given to me to read and review. I gave it to my teen son. The opinions and excitement are 100% genuine and that of my families. We were not paid to write this review.
