As North America returns to somewhat normal living over this Spring and Summer I wanted to share my top 5 favorite memories of OBX, better known as the Outer Banks of North Carolina, specifically Dare County.
The beach is a place where we can all go, stay socially distanced and still have the time of our lives. Family time is always fun time and we need to get out, soak up the sun and surf more than ever to show kids that life goes on and we can all still seize the sunset and have the time of our lives!
My top 5 memories from OBX;
-
- Ghost Crab hunting on the beach at sunset…. Lots of shrieks and squeals and so much fun and excitement!
-
- Spending a day at the beach on Hatteras Island – There’s just something therapeutic about surf, sun and sand!
-
- Roanoke Island Festival Park – This was an adventure back in time and for a mom like me that loves to make learning fun this hands on museum is a one of a kind learning adventure!
-
- Catching crabs and hitting the water in the Outer Banks – This is by far the most beautiful shoreline in the Eastern United States!
- Pea Island National Wildlife Refuge – This is a small place with a big adventure going down the boardwalk quietly to see what creatures you can find…. Turtles? Rare nesting birds… They’ve got it!
