I had the most wonderful dinner last night.I had the opportunity to meet my mom for dinner and I only brought my 4 and a half year old daughter with me. I told her it was “girls night out.” My mom isn’t in the best of shape and uses a walker so having 3 generations together is very special to me. I never know when it’s the “last” meal or joke or laugh or tear and I cherish those moments so dearly. We joked, we laughed and we even shared some not so funny stuff. I hope one day I can meet with my daughter and her daughter and do the same.
It seems like as we age we come to terms with our mortality and realize how important it is to clear the air, keep a good view, and be kind at all cost. That is something that I had not always practiced in my life but I’m glad that I am now. I feel an amazing gratitude for the awesome people in my life. I know tons of people but I really only have a handful of really close friends and they’re so supportive and uplifting.
I hope you have a friend or someone in your family that support and lift you up too. If you do be sure to reach out to them and tell them with a card, email or even a simple text thanking them just for being them!
