Have you ever felt like you would go a mile for a person and they won’t even take a few foot steps for you? Do you think you just might
be a “people pleaser?” Who’s problem is it anyway? I think many times as women we’re trained from early on to become people pleasers and it’s not until much later in life that we contemplate those people that we are trying to please. How many times have you heard as a kid, “Be nice!” Well what does “nice” really translate into? Hmmmm….
I’m a VERY loyal person by nature. It’s just my personality type, I’m sure. And, of course we all know that there are just some people that you cannot please. (It took me into my later years of motherhood to realize that one) I can think of 2 people in my life that I tried soooo hard to please and I wanted them to like me. I brought over food when they were ill, flowers on a few occassions and was just always friendly yet still… nothing. I felt awkard around them. I guess because I was trying to please and there was just a feeling of an underlying judgement over me and I just couldn’t understand why. Being more mature in my later years motherhood, 4 kids later, I’ve since moved on however you have to realize that in life you’ll NEVER be good enough for some people. So, the question really is, Is that YOUR problem or THEIRS?
Give it some some thought…..
