Spring Break Family Vacation Ideas
Spring Break Family Vacation Ideas – I had the pleasure of being asked to speak about family vacations at the #DCTravelShow yesterday and one of the things that we went over was the importance of getting your entire family on board when planning your vacation experience. I say “experience” because I think there is a growing trend away from “things” and a movement toward “experience.” People are sharing on social media and email more than every before in the history of man kind and one thing is for sure… no one on their death bed ever thanked their family for a special toy or gadget. Oh don’t get me wrong, all of those things are seriously FUN (and keep kids busy on road trips) but when vacationing, families are seeking an experience. Vacationing is about a family experience. It’s an experience of love, happiness, bliss, fun, laughter and excitement. You need to get your family “on board” so to speak, so now what? Here are a few fun facts about Easter that you can share at your next Easter brunch! It’s all history and it’s all good! I’ll begin with where Easter started and be sure to cover “where the Easter Bunny comes from” as well as our fun & “eggciting” traditional celebrations of today! [Read more…]

Origin of the Easter Egg
The Origin Of The Easter Egg -Filled with chocolate or just dyed, Easter eggs are part of spring. Everyone enjoys the little treat of sweet filled eggs or the fun colors kids (or adults) decorate their eggs with. Whether or not your child believes in the Easter bunny, the eggs are a part of the overall fun of this “new beginning” season. I love to do both versions with the eggs. We all enjoy it, but have you ever wondered where the tradition came from? Well now you don’t have to wonder anymore; here is the origin of the Easter egg as a tradition for one and all to enjoy.
