Well since it’s not quite camping season yet, I’m sure you’ve been craving some campfire type snacks! I tend to be an afternoon snacker but my husband and kids are late night snackers. Did you know that more than half of all eating occasions are snacks? Lets face it – it’s hard to just eat 3 meals a day and depending on the amount of calories you burn in a day you may just be in the mood for a snack, a snacksational kinda snack. Well you’ve come to the right place! I like snacks that are quick, easy to prepare, and don’t have much cooking or baking time if any at all. Since I generally cook a big meal every night, when I think of snacks I think delicious and easy. If kids can make the snacks all the better!
Another thing you think of when you think of a snack is “What do I already have in my kitchen?” Well graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow are not only a delicious combination, they’re also a staple in my house. When I shop at my local Kent Island Safeway I keep the ingredients for s’more on hand just like I do bread, milk and eggs. When you have a house full of kids snacks are a must! Check out my S’mores dip recipe below;
Prep time: 3 minutes Microwave time: 1.5 to 3 minutes
Indoor S’mores Dip Ingredients:
- 1/2 to 3/4th Cup Marshmallow Creme
- Annie’s ® Funny Bunny Grahams (as many as you like)
- 1 can sweetened condensed cream
- 1/4 Cup Chocolate (chocolate chips or chocolate bar – whatever you have at home)
Directions:
Place chocolate chips and condensed cream in a microwaveable container and lightly melt 45 seconds at a time stirring in between. Do this until melted and mixed well being careful not to burn.
Drop creme marshmallow spoonfuls on top of chocolate and light mix into the chocolate so it looks like marshmallow swirls into the chocolate. (If you mix too much you won’t have the “swirl” effect)
Serve with Annies ® Graham Crackers! Drop as many snactsational Annie’s ® Funny Bunny Grahams on top.
Enjoy!
Feel free to share your snacksational ideas and tell me about your favorite snacks in the comments below!! What do you like when you’re in the mood for a late night snack? What about an after school snack too??
