Easter Fun Facts – With the Lenton season upon us I find so many people wondering about the origination of Easter so I decided I’d write a little but about some Easter fun facts that maybe you didn’t know……

Easter is a religious holiday that holds great importance for people of the Christian faith.  Palm Sunday, Lent, Good Friday and Easter Sunday are celebrated with church services and religious sermons.  Then there is the silly side to the holiday that has a “Peter Cottontail hopping down the bunny trail” leaving colored eggs for all the kiddies.  We all know about this story.  But did you know that the term Easter gets its name from Eastre, the Anglo-Saxon goddess who symbolizes the hare and the egg?
