Today only Safeway has spiral sliced half hams on sale for $1.29 per lb.  This is the BEST price I’ve seen on spiral hams over the past several months.  I”m planning to purchase 3 of them.  One for New Years (I already have a turkey for Christmas that I purchased for 49¢ per lb), One for February, and 1 for March!  These take a couple of hours to heat up in the oven so it will heat my house for the day, feed my family for several days (ham dinner, scrambled eggs & ham for breakfast and finally ham soup).  The other Holiday Daily Deal today only is pineapple – just $1.99.  A great price!

If you wait until Friday, Saturday or Sunday to purchase a spiral ham at Safeway you’ll pay $1.49 per lb.

NOTE:  This daily deal has a limit of 1 today so you can either stop in on your way to work and then again on your way home (just have a cooler in your car), or you could bring your spouse and snag 2 (1 for each of you) – anyway you get the idea!
