Here is another great discount site you’ll want to sign up for (FREE). Its called Fun Family Deals. Its just like Groupon – same sort of thing but they’ll show different daily deals. There are a couple more I’m checking into that I’ll post later this morning as well. Click here to enroll – its FREE and its a good way to find coupon/discounts in your area.

Hello! I just wanted to get a post out on some of the coupon no no’s to shorten the learning curve for some of you.
1) Don’t use expired coupons.
2) Do not photo copy coupons. It is illegal – period! Most computers are able to print 2 of each coupon and for some deals you will need to access 2 or 3 computers. We have 2 laptops in our house and if its a really great coupon I’ll call my hubby at work and ask him to print the coupon.
3) Don’t just read a coupon by the photo on the coupon. A coupon is interpreted by the words – not the photo.
4) Don’t allow yourself to get disorganized with the coupons – You’ll spend a long time couponing and then you’ll get discouraged. Organization is key – Here is a video on how I organize my coupons. Not the most exciting video but great useful info for newcomers.
5) Don’t sign up for newsletters and offers to get coupons with your personal e-mail address. Couponing has to be easy and convenient – You don’t want to weed through personal e-mails to find a newsletter with a coupon so start another e-mail and save it for couponing. That way you’ll check it when its convenient for you to coupon.
6) Don’t overlook rebates! They are an excellent way to make money and get freebies! Think in terms of a 6 month period and if you applied for “X” number of rebates and were able to get FREE products plus make a couple hundred extra bucks that would be worth it – So look at rebates accumulatively over a 6 month period. Several readers have sent e-mails about seminars…. You can register for upcoming seminars on our Facebook page in the top left under “events.” If there isn’t one in your area I’m willing to travel. Speak with your place of worship or local community center to get a group of people together and I’ll be there. The fee is just $12.00 per person and I offer it for free to anyone truly unable to afford the fee (unemployed, facing foreclosure etc)
I absolutely love Seventh Generation productions. I generally only purchase the cleaners when they are on sale and I have a coupon but I love knowing they are “green” and more healthy spraying my home since I have a 2 year old that puts everything in her mouth.
