I did a post on a FREESample of Mio Water Enhancer last month & today I got my FREESample. My flavor is Berry Pomegranate & this little sample will enhance 24 (8 fl oz.) bottles of water. Now a little secret about me…. I HATE plain water! My favorite saying is “If I put enough lemon, sugar & throw in a tea bag, then the water tastes just fine!” I think the “packets” that you can buy at the store are too strong, & I end up diluting them. I have tried the MiO & it is PERFECT,not to strong or sweet, it adds just the right amount of flavor to be able to enjoy plain water for the first time. I woke up at 6am this morning, sat in my green rocking chair, pulled the computer onto my lap and flipped on the television only to find my eyes in horror and my heart crying a silent, desperate song.  I remember the tune well – I heard it over and over when the twin towers came crashing down on September 11th and when I saw the devastation of the Tsunami that hit in the far East.  Each time my knee jerk reaction is family…  Where is my family and are they all safe?  Everyone remembers where they were and what they were doing when they found out about the twin towers and the devastation in Japan will be no different.

As families, as a community, and as individuals we need to remember that disaster can strike at any time and anywhere.  In the event of a disaster, your food & toiletries stockpile may have to keep your family alive for days, weeks or possibly months. 

Shopping with coupons is what you’re going to do from week to week to save money for your family.  Stockpiling is stocking up on supplies your family will use when these items are FREE or pennies – that is the time to stockpile!  I know I can’t control floods, earthquakes, and national disasters but I can be sure my family has all of the supplies they need to shelter in place.  I hope you make the decision to do the same.

I just wanted to make sure that you understand how to use the new printable shopping list….  All you do is click on the box in front of the name of the food or product for any items that you like to add to your list, then after you hit “print” in the bottom right corner,  you’ll have the option of adding anything you need to the list like bread, milk, eggs etc.  This should help save time in the store and make shopping a bit easier.  Not always, but most of the time, we only post the bargains when there is a coupon match up so you may still see other items in the sale circulars for your favorite stores and like to add those bargains to your list like say grapes if they happen to be on sale that week.

In the name of saving money and being an extreme couponer, I am not loyal to any 1 particular store….  I simply shop each week (or send my great hubby) to whichever stores happen to have the best sales and the most freebies after coupons from week to week. There are many weeks when we’ll stop by 2 grocery stores and only pick up freebies and items under a buck or two.  It means breaking out of your comfort zone but using this strategy can bump your savings into the 85% zone.  Give it a try!
