The Deacon Jones Foundation and Maryland Art Place Interview with Ms. Elizabeth Jones – As a mom in Maryland, I am always looking for fun, educational things for my family. I believe that building relationships through experiences is more valuable than any material item we could give our children. What’s more is that I like to give my kids an educational experience that broadens their horizons, teaches them to be leaders, and gives us something to explore. My daughter, @GrowWithSamantha, and I made this fun DIY Photo Booth Frame for a friends surprise 50th birthday party. It was a HUGE hit! You break out the camera at a party and people run and hide but if you make a photo booth you’ll have a line of folks waiting to be silly and have some fun!

OPUS Merriweather: This Free Art + Music Festival is Fun for the Whole Family
Now in its second year, OPUS Merriweather is the FREE multi-sensory art and music festival taking place in Merriweather Post Pavilion and Symphony Woods in Columbia, Maryland on Saturday, October 13 from 5-11pm. This year, families are welcome to take in live musical performances, let loose for a meditative dance party, explore interactive art installations, and indulge in a Culinary Village featuring glow in the dark cotton candy to empanadas and everything in between.
