Have you heard the exciting news about the new Toys “R” Us outlet opening?  They’re planning to sport a fresh new look and layout plus the store will feature a unique selection of products at value prices (my favorite part!) exclusive to their Outlet stores! (that means savings for parents like me and you). In addition, I read that they’re also offer smaller array of toys found at our full-size stores,INCLUDING a dedicated LEGO shop!!!! Its’ the most beautiful time of year again around the tidal basin in Washington D.C. – Cherry Blossom time! This 2016 Cherry Blossom season is sure to be better than the last with trees growing each year. It’s a time I never miss. I gather up friends and take the train into DC since it’s so convenient and inexpensive. We then pack a lunch, throw it in a back pack and eat among the blanket of blossoms that cover the ground overlooking the tidal basin. It’s breathtaking!!! Next, off to a museum and then home after a late night on the town. The peak bloom this year is expected Tuesday 3/22 thru Thursday 3/25. Take lots of pictures and enjoy! It’s an inspiring site remembering this gift to the people of the United States from Japan.

Kalahari Waterpark Spring break

Kalahari Resort and Waterpark in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania is authentically African FUN. My family had the chance to go this past weekend for an awesome overnight stay in this waterpark resort wonderland. They have the largest indoor waterpark in Pennsylvania and Kalahari is currently working on making it the largest indoor waterpark in the country. Wowza! They tie in the African theme with beautiful waterfalls, fountains, cozy fireplaces, and African trees like the Joshua tree… With life-size decorations of elephants, giraffes, hippos and other African animals everywhere we felt like we had hopped on a plane and flown to another continent. Winner Announcement: Marvel Universe Live Royal Farms Arena Baltimore MD December 10th-13th

Well in case you hadn’t heard the news last night we drew winners for the 12 Marvel Universe Live tickets. One winner won 4 tickets KC3 and another winner won 8 tickets Maria (large family). The winner that won 8 tickets was quickly contacted and had to decline because of another commitment so we had 8 more tickets to give away the next day. When I get a large number of tickets I like to let larger families have as many tickets as they need because I realize, being from a large family myself, that everyone doesn’t fit into a cookie cutter and have exactly 2 parents and 2 kids so this way 2 people could win (maybe a parent and child) or 8 people could win (2 parents with 6 kids).
