Cherry Blossom 2016 Washington D.C.

Its’ the most beautiful time of year again around the tidal basin in Washington D.C. – Cherry Blossom time! This 2016 Cherry Blossom season is sure to be better than the last with trees growing each year. It’s a time I never miss. I gather up friends and take the train into DC since it’s so convenient and inexpensive. We then pack a lunch, throw it in a back pack and eat among the blanket of blossoms that cover the ground overlooking the tidal basin. It’s breathtaking!!! Next, off to a museum and then home after a late night on the town. The peak bloom this year is expected Tuesday 3/22 thru Thursday 3/25. Take lots of pictures and enjoy! It’s an inspiring site remembering this gift to the people of the United States from Japan.
