Everyone knows I’m a s’mores fanatic so why should the Christmas season cause me to give up my favorite combination of foods?? I decided long ago that there is NEVER
a bad time for s’mores. And, when you can’t have s’mores outdoors around a campfire then it’s time to get creative and have s’mores indoors. The Christmas s’mores are sure to bring delight this season to young and old alike. Combining graham cracker, marshmallow, and chocolate always has a happy effect on people, ‘ya know!
Here’s what you need to make Christmas s’mores;
- marshmallow Christmas TREE peeps
- graham crackers
- Hershey’s chocolate bars (for melting – you can use chocolate chips or whatever Hershey’s choc you like – I’m just a Hershey’s finatic bit Wilton candy melts are easy to work with, available here, at work fine too☺)
- Candy sticks (coffee stir stuck or candy sticks but flat seems to hold better)
Now, I like a flat candy stick (as opposed to round) for these because I think it gives it just the amount of stability it needs. Place your candy stick into the peep.
Now melt your chocolate (add a little tiny bit of oil to keep it nice and smooth but just a pinch) and dip your peep into the chocolate
You wanna cover the back and sides – as you’ll need it heavy on the back side to be sure it sticks to the graham cracker
Now place it right on your graham cracker then let it sit on Reynolds Parchment paper to set. enjoy!
