Christopher Robin By Disney – Family is the most important thing in my life. As a family that finds fun, we also find time to spend with each other even when life gets busy and we all go our separate ways. We loved Christopher Robin because it reminded us how important family actually is.
It Reminded us to Foster Relationships
As a grown up, overworked man, Christopher Robin has lost touch with his animal friends. In life, we forget that relationships are all we really have in this world. As kids get older, they begin to lose touch with family and friends and begin making new lives. Christopher Robin reminded us that no matter how far we go in life, we can always come back to those we love.
It Encouraged parent/Child Relationships
As a parent myself, I know first hand that parent/child relationships aren’t always easy. Sometimes, life gets in the way. We can’t always be there for our kids when we are sick, when work gets in the way, or when life happens.
In Christopher Robin, it shows times where his father may suffer from PTSD. However, even through that it seems he really cared deeply about his son, and encouraged his creativity. However, as Christopher has his own family, his relationships with his own daughter are strained because of his high demanding job.
Through this, however, it helped our family to see where we are struggling in our relationships and also put an emphasis on spending time with each other no matter what.
It Reminded Us To Stay Young at Heart
We all have to grow up at one point in our lives and make “adult” decisions and choices. My son is on his way off to the military. Although he is going to have to make a lot of hard decisions, I still want him to remember where he came from. This movie inspired us to take a short Disney Cruise before he goes because no matter how old we get, we can still stay young at heart.
