Would you like to know my recipe for DIY Homemade Easter Egg Dye? It’s really easy to make
and it will cost only pennies in comparison to buying an egg dye kit. Plus, once you know how to make it you can make your egg dye several times over the Lenton season. We love to dye Easter Eggs and we make conventional eggs, tie dye eggs, shaving cream eggs…. You name it – we make Easter really fun around here. I image one day I’ll still be dying Easter Eggs and my kids will be grown. I guess there are just some things that you never outgrow! Lol!
Recipe for homemade Easter Egg Dye Ingredients:
- Water
- Food Color
- Vinegar
Take a bowl or coffee cup and mix water, vinegar & food color (80% water, 20% vinegar and 2 to 4 drops food color) You don’t have to be exact with this recipe as I generally just sort of “eye” it.
Drop egg into the dye. Allow to sit in the dye for as long as you like (longer makes a deeper color generally speaking). Enjoy!
