Are you heading out to buy some Easter clearance candy? The day after Easter is a GREAT time to hit Easter candy clearance for upcoming parties or pinatas! So lets talk candy clearance……
Advance planning is ALWAYS the key to frugal living and after Easter candy clearance is no exception. Think about your calendar of events over the next 6 months, ok? Between now and Halloween the following holidays may take place – Will you need candy?
- Pinata candy for a birthday party
- 4th of July
- Memorial Day
- Labor Day
- Child’s sleepover party
- Candy wedding favors
- Unconventional baking with candy
So you get the picture…. I’m a frugal living expert and I can’t say enough how important it is to purchase items on clearance for future events. Different stores have different sale cycles but the general idea of it is a DISCOUNT the day after Easter.
Target Easter Candy Clearance Schedule: The day after a holiday (for seasonal items) seasonal items will go on clearance as soon as the store opens. Some stores will clearance items at 30%in Easton, Maryland and some stores could be as much as 40% off. Target’s policy is to move to the next level of clearance between the 4th and 7th day after a holiday so if there is any Target Easter candy clearance left you’ll find the next level of pricing between 60% and 70% off. Walmart Easter Candy Clearance: Walmart should send Easter seasonal items to clearance the 1st day after the holiday and you can expect a savings of 50%. They’ll mark up from there to the new clearance level (if there is any left) between 1 and 2 weeks after the holiday) Be sure to look in the baking section because Betty Crocker Sugar Cookie mixes were 50% at the Easton, Maryland store. Look for the same savings at your local Walmart.
CVS Easter Candy Clearance: CVS will place Easter candy and Easter seasonal items on clearance the 1st day after the holiday for 30% to 50% off. They usually take around 2 weeks (and sometimes longer) to move up to the next clearance level.
Rite Aid Easter Candy Clearance: Rite Aid will place Easter candy and Easter seasonal items on clearance the 1st day after the holiday for 30% to 50% off. They usually take around 2 weeks (and sometimes longer) to move up to the next clearance level.
Walgreens Easter Candy Clearance: Walgreens will place Easter candy and Easter seasonal items on clearance the 1st day after the holiday for 30% to 50% off. They usually take around 2 weeks (and sometimes longer) to move up to the next clearance level.
