With Easter just around the corner I figured some Easter Poems were in order! I love writing poetry but I find that most people only use poetry for special occasions and holidays. If you love Easter, Spring, and all things fluffy, pastel like, and eggs too then you have to read my article on Easter Fun Facts where I explore the fun origins of Easter as well as the fun traditions of Easter that we’ve come to love and know now. It’s all so fun but then again I’m a history and tradition buff too!
Spring & Easter Poem
As spring and Easter approach, I feel drawn to the garden, chores out of doors, and a longing to remain where what lay beneath winter’s blanket is coming back to life. But as the hurried feeling of too many things to do returns, I try to remember the simple idea of these Easter poems which helps keep me centered.
Holidays help us mark the years and often bring a rush of emotions and stress. We may thrive on or dread the demands to make each of these occasions special for our children and family members.
However you celebrate this beautiful holiday in the spring calendar, I hope the Easter poems here help you to keep joy, love and Easter peace in your midst long after we usher in another season.
Easter Poem of Peave
Once all the fun of colored eggs
is done
And Easter morning’s rising of
the Sun
to sunlight’s lengthening shadows
gives way:
Still, Easter peace and joy and love
can stay.
Easter Egg Hunt Poem
I’m searching for the perfect one
To make my Easter basket full.
I have to find the best.
How odd, the Perfect One is searching me.
In my basket, he tucks the best egg of them all:
Forgiveness.
