I am such a lover off all things homemade and especially Christmas and Halloween. I’m also a lover of all things easy – I like to have fun and be creative but I’m not too terribly artsy so it’s got to be simple. I have some really Easy Homemade Halloween Props for you! These Halloween props are so simple that you can do them with a 6 year old just like I did!
I love fun projects where I can INCLUDE kids and not have to push them away or worry about them messing everything up. Well these homemade props are that easy and almost impossible to mess up! Besides, this particular Halloween party that we’re getting ready for is a kid Halloween party for teens and tweens so I want the kids to help make some of the Halloween fun! Check out my homemade Halloween invitations here. I also have an awesome, highly viewed Halloween Pinterest board with tons of original super easy to make content here! You’ll especially like my fake boarded up home with this same easy to make kind of fun!
Supplies needed:
- cardboard (I just cut up an Amazon box)
- paint (any color is fine)
- Scissors
- Paint brush
- Wood Steak (any piece will do)
- Staple gun (or small nail & hammer)
Directions:
cut your box up into sign size pieces and notch out the ends
paint your strips of cardboard thoroughly
allow to dry completely
Paint your words onto your sign and allow to dry (My daughter had a little help from big brother on this process!)
Use a staple gun to staple cardboard to a piece of wood and pop it in the ground for a fun and easy homemade halloween prop this season!
