Extra ACME Bargains and My ACME Shopping Trip with 72% Savings

 

 

Check out my savings at ACME yesterday – I paid just $7.42 for the 3 boxes of Trix, 2 boxes Kix, 1 box Essential Everyday puffed rice cereal, 1 box ice cream cones (Alberton’s brand) and 2 bottles soda – a 72% savings.  Let me lay it out for you and tell you about a couple of other bargains too!  This is a great example of how you make use of 2 grocery stores to maximize your savings.

Trix & Kix are on sale $1.88 when you buy 5.  Luckily I still had coupons left over from when they were offered on coupons.com (I believe it was) from June 2nd.  The Trix coupons were 50¢/1 (doubled to $1.00 paying just 88¢ per box) and the Kix coupons were 75¢/1 and were doubled to $1.50 each making my final price per box just 38¢
Essential Everyday Puffed Rice was $2.29 and I used the $1./1 coupon for Essential Everyday item in the ACME Game Book which made them $1.29
The Alberton’s Ice cream cones were $1.99 and I had a $1./1 coupon in the ACME Game books.
The 2 – 2 Ltr soda bottles were 95¢ and I had a coupon for $1./2 from the ACME Game books which made them just 45¢ each after coupon.
= $7.42 total for the above!  A 72% savings!

This is a great example of just running in a store and buying the minimum of sale item when they were at a rock bottom price in the sale cycle.  I shop 2 grocery stores  2 to 3 weeks out of a month to keep my savings up.  I do more of the bulk of my shopping at 1 store and then I run in another store for the sale items that are at their rock bottom price.  This shop only took about 12 minutes total in the Kent Island ACME store.  I stopped by the store when I was in the area and taking my teenage son to his lifeguard job (remember, gas is expensive so try not to go out of your way)

There is a “Try Me Free” Rebate available on several different General Mills products that will make them 100% FREE!  Don’t pass that up.  I found these deals at the Kent Is, MD ACME store but look for sign near General Mills products in your stores.  This rebate is valid June 20th to June 27th and includes these items:
