Ok so if you’re looking for something really delicious and fun this Halloween then try one of my Halloween Punch Recipes in my Pumpkin Punch bowl. Today I’m
showing you how to make Orange Crush Sparkling punch and it is delicious. I have a mini version of it made below. I first tried this at a Boy Scout Eagle ceremony and I quickly caught up with the host for the recipe afterwards. Everyone raved over it and it was very simple and unique. I think it’s good for any party and if you had dry ice to your pumpkin punch bowl to make it “spooky” and glow sticks to make it glow you’ll have the perfect “Witches Brew Punch Recipe” for Halloween. ☺
Ingredients:
- 3 ltrs. Ginger Ale or Seltzer Water (like Seagrams)
- 3 ltrs. Orange Soda (like Orange Crush)
- 1/2 Gal. Sherbet (I prefer rainbow for a nice color)
- Cube Ice (larger is better – check out the spooky ice cube below for best, fun results)
You’ll have to adjust the amount of above ingredients based on the size of your serving bowl. This can be really fun for just 3 or 4 friends or a big Halloween party!
Pour your ingredients together (soda mixtures) then add sherbet ice cream to the top (leave in block form). Then add ice cubes. Be sure to start with soda that has already been chilled well. It will make your punch last a long time and keep the temperature cold. You can jazz up the recipe with orange slices, tangerine pieces or maraschino cherries!
Directions to make a pumpkin punch bowl:
There are a few different things you can do with the punch bowl. If you wanna keep it easy and simple just cut the pumpkin about in half and slip in your bowl. Be sure to use a bowl like you see below with a lip or it may fall into your pumpkin and not sit properly.
Variations to make your punch bowl glow and be spooky:
I used cookie cutters on the pumpkin (see my post about using cookie cutters on pumpkins here) at about 5 inches all the way around the pumpkin. That way you can add dry ice underneath of the punch bowl and add glow stick (see military grade glow sticks here) and you’ll pumpkin punch bowl with have the spooky witches brew effect.

With the cookie cutter shapes to let the light out and the dry ice effect
