The fall season is closing in and we’ll all be wearing shoes every day all of the time once winter hits. Well some people have a real problem with foot odor (smelly feet) and I have the best nature cure for smelly feet with this special foot scrub recipe. Follow this home remedy for foot odor recipe and you won’t have to be afraid of running everyone out of the room when you take off your shoes after a long day at work ☺ Lol! This is like a DIY foot odor cure recipe. Its frugal, easy to make and works! Its 100% natural and you likely have all of the ingredients in your home right now – I’m sure!
Best cure for stinky, smelly feet! (aka cure for foot odor) This may seem “sticky” but trust me it isn’t at all! I’ve used this many times and its absolutely wonderful and SUPER frugal. My husband can spend 15 to 18 hours in his shoes and this recipe for foot odor works miracles. If you like a cool clean feeling on your feet then add 1 tablespoon camphor to this mixture for that cool kinda Sea Breeze feelings. Its wonderful!
- 1 cup olive oil (light, dark, extra virgin etc – doesn’t matter)
- 2 cups Domino Sugar (or C&H Sugar for you west coast readers)
- 2 lemons
Take a bowl and and pour in your sugar and oil. Now cut 2 lemons in half and squeeze the juice from both into the mixture. Mix and pour into some old reusable container like an old body butter container or something like that. Scrub feet in bath shower with mixture, shower as usual and smell the difference when you get out. I’ve been making this mixture for my husband for years and it does wonders!
Note: Use common sense – don’t slip when you get out of the bath or shower. Take precautions for your bathroom. ☺

We actually used a recipe really similar at girl scout camp this summer and made a sugar scrub for the girl’s hands for an overnight “spa party” It was wonderful!!

What a GREAT idea! I’ve also made this in a slightly different formula for a hand scrub after my hubby does yard work or changes the oil on the cars. It works really well!

Great advice, thx!! I tried almost everything!
Sweaty feet can contribute to bad foot odor. It’s because sweaty feet encourage stinky foot bacteria. For me there is no better thing than cedar wood! It has antibacterial features and give your feet and shoes a fresh smelling flavor. Maybe try special insoles made from cedar wood – so called cedarsoles. Just put them inside your shoes and stinky problems should find an end.
