It’s almost Thanksgiving and you’re probably wondering how you can turn your turkey from ho hum to gourmet! Well let me say that the EASIEST thing I’ve ever done to jazz up my Thanksgiving Turkey was to make Bacon Wrapped Turkey! It only takes about 10 minutes to wrap and your turkey is sure to have a lovely flavor packed with juice and never dried out!
The idea is that the fat on the back bakes over your turkey locking in the juices and flavor all at the same time. It carves easily once it slightly cools from your oven and offers an absolutely lovely presentation impressing your guests with their gourmet meal! Okay, now moving on to wrapped the turkey – it takes about 1 and a 1/2 lbs to wrap a large 20-22lbs turkey. Start at one end and drape the back as you see in the image above being sure to have each slice of bacon slightly over lap the prior piece until you have the entire turkey covered. Bake your turkey as per the direction on the package. Enjoy!
