New Rasmussen pole says 85% of Americans say they are paying more for groceries this year than last year. Well I didn’t need an official pole to tell me that! Plus, most of us believe we’ll be paying even more next year! Well what does that mean to us? Buckle down and live a frugal life! You have to save in EVERY area of your life so you can still spend money on the things that make you and your family happy! Maybe those “things” are a dream vacation to Disney, make a new car, make a coach purse (I don’t know) but whatever it is don’t spend money by default. Remember that if you’re not planning to save then your planning to spend!
You have to;
- commit to packing a cooler in your care to cut out on convenience store pit stops
- make your coffee at home and buy a car warmer or desk warmer for the office
- clip coupons and plan your trips to the grocery store
- Commit to contacting a manufacturer and requesting a replacement product if make a purchase and the product fails (sprayer quits working etc)
- Don’t make a special trip to the grocery store and waste gas just because you are a creature of habit – Plan your trips when your passing by on your way to or from work, the doctors office etc
