The Kennedy Center for Preforming Arts showcases many different forms of art. Including,
but not limited to, ballet and orchestra. The building is simply gorgeous and the seating is wonderful, vision is great no matter where you sit. I recommend everyone should check this magnificent building out for themselves. The last time I was there parking was $20. Some of their upcoming events are: NSO (National Symphony Orchestra) performance, a performance by Frankie Lee, and the musical stylings of Robots and Cyborgs. Every day the Kennedy center offers free performances thanks to a grant from Target. Click the link to see the daily performances that you’ll find on the Millenium stage and once in a while you’ll find one of the free Target sponsored shows in another room/stage (but infrequently).
You’ll want to show up a minimum of 1 hour early to snag seating and get in the line for the FREE shows. It is totally worth it – you’ll feel the same way once you step into the magnificent architecture. It’s breath taking I promise! The schedule comes out a month in advance and is available the last day or two at the end of the month for the next month. If you hit it around the holidays you may just catch a lovely holiday concert! They also have acrobats, puppet theaters, singers, dancers and all sorts of performing arts.
