I made these along side my mom this weekend for a very special fundraiser at our church. If you’re looking for kids Halloween party food ideas I have some great original ideas for ‘ya!
These little pumpkin pretzels have the cutest little personalities with these eyes!!! They’re completely edibile and kids LOVE them. They’re also great for toddler and school Halloween party foods too! Here are the directions for this fun recipe:
Ingredients Needed:
- Snyder Pretzels
- Candy Eyes
- Orange Candy Melts
- Green M&M’s
Directions:
Melt your orange candy melts in your microwave, add a 1/4 to 1/2 tsp oil if the candy needs thinning. Dip your pretzels in the orange candy melts.
Remove them after being covered and place on parchment paper to set. See the image above where I use a skewer to remove the pretzels from the candy melt? I remove them at the lower lobe of the pretzel – that is what gives the pretzels it’s “mouth” and a little personality.
Add eyes. If you don’t have a defined “mouth” on your pretzel use the skewer to make a mouth.
Now add a green M&M to the very top for your “stem.” Be sure your candy is still slightly wet (not too much) and you can dip your M&M end in the candy for a little more stickiness. Allow time to completely set (20 minutes to 1 hour depending on moisture level in your home) Enjoy.
