Are you looking for Math Games – Middle School? If your middle schooler is struggling in math, it’s time try some of these great math games. Middle school is stressful enough on kids and parents without the added hair-pulling over nightly math assignments. I’ve been there myself, and so I wanted to share some fun games that I found helpful for middle school math games. My youngest is 4 and my eldest is 17 and in college and I through my own learning curve teaching my kids (we’re home schoolers but my 2 eldest did attend public school) I have found that math games keep it fun and excited and take all the repetitiveness out of it.
While the internet is a super resource, sometimes plain old paper and pencil types of games just seem to work best. My friend’s daughter has really been struggling this year, and recently purchased a book to help her out. It is called Math Games: 180 Reproducible Activities to Motivate, Excite, and Challenge Students, Grades 6-12
Here’s another one I like – Family Math Night.
This one has good reviews as well – Math Puzzles and Brain Teasers.
I like the fact that the book isn’t just a workbook, but has lots of games to keep a child’s interest. Now one REALLY important thing you need to think about and assess is this question – Is your child still struggling with basic math? If that is the case then I’d suggest these math games before you move on;
This ones has lots of different games to teach essential skills. The reviews are stellar and we frequently look for games that can do more than one thing so the kids don’t find them boring after playing a couple of times. Plus I really liked the price on this one – Just $11.06 which to me was VERY reasonable. 25 Super Cool Math Board Games.
Math Games to Master Basic Skills is another multi function game with lots of GREAT parent reviews. We really liked this one too.
I have lots more ideas for school success on my blog www.familyfindsfun.com so be sure to check it out!
