Today was an AWESOME day of shopping with an AWESOME deal from Office Depot.. My sister and brother in law have a great printer and they only pay $4.99 for ink cartridges. “What – $4.99?” Well needless to say I was all ears, but I am still a frugal shopper so I was doing some store comparisons. Office Depot had my printer on sale for $199.00.. Eeeks – $199.00! I hadn’t planned on spending that much! I may be frugal here, but I’m not foolish! Here is what I found;
Office Depot runs these specials where you “give” them your old printer and they will give you $50.00 towards your new printer. It just so happened that my new Lexmark Pinnacle Professional Series was part of their list of approved printers… hum…. so my search for coupons to reduce the cost was on.
Lets Make a Deal!
Retail Price on Printer $199.99
Gave them my old Printer for $50.00 Credit
Gave them an Office Max Coupon for $10.00 Credit
Gave them a Office Depot Coupon for $10.00 Credit
Total Cost $132.72 (w/ taxes) that’s a savings of $67.27! Score!
Just in case you are unaware, most office supply stores accept competitors coupons.

Hey Congrats sis, glad you were able to get your printer and save money. Wow that was nice for Ed at Office Depot to work with you and help save you as much money. Now you can print print print into saving even more. I noticed you didn’t say which printer you bought. Is there a reason. I will say that I have the Lexmark 805 printer and love it. It took us almost 3 months to empty our black ink, plus it’s only $4.99

Thanks Amy I got the Lexmark Pinnacle PRO 901 series its like a serious printer no more games anymore hahahah..and yes the ink for me is also only $4.99 and that is soooo nice..Those 24.00 and up prices 3 times a month or more were killing me..Beth
