Today was the day of our big home school cooperative Christmas event – 50 people signed up to have an afternoon of fellowship and holiday fun!
We had all sorts of fun ideas planned for fun Christmas games for the children. it was an interesting party to plan because we had kids present from toddler years all the way up through age 16. Well we were up to challenge and had an absolute BLAST this year – best holiday gathering EVER!!!!!
To start we had a table dedicated to wreath making with all sorts of greens that moms clipped from their yards and wreath frames from Oriental Trading. What we love about this annual event at our Christmas party is that it gives everyone a take home. They can make the wreath with the help of an adult (for little ones) or put together their own creation and either keep it or give it as a gift for friends or family. The wreath station is ALWAYS a big hit and the creativity comes out!
You can use pine cones, ribbons, holly, spruce or whatever you like! We also used the Oriental Trading Floral Pins to accent the wreaths and pine cones – turned out really nicely! (Who doesn’t love bling, right?)
Oh, I can’t forget about the ribbon station – this is perfect for personal crafting or for a wreath making party like we had today!
Instead of a gift exchange we had parents bring in a small treat or prize for the prize table. This spin to win board from Oriental Trading is a fabulous way to give each child a turn and make it a little more fun – kind a like a carnival games!!! 
Next we decided to play a crazy game of “Santa” where you put Petroleum on your face and add on your “Santa Beard”
We also decided to have some crazy rough and tumble fun with a wild and crazy game of live Hungry Hungry Hippo with foam multi-colored balls from Oriental Trading and some old ball pit balls and 4 skate boards – Talk about FUN! Wild and crazy fun!!!! (see very top image of the Hungry Hippo Game – You can can your ball pit balls from Oriental Trading too)
Oh, and I can’t forget the reading snowman that the elementary kids get to create – So, one adventurous person gets to volunteer to be the “reading snowman” and the little ones get to decorate the snowman in white toilet tissue and then she reads a Christmas story to them! They loved it!!!!
I did receive many of these items like the floral pins, ribbon holder, wreath frame racks and fun game spinner at no charge from Oriental Trading however the opinions and excitement about the company are 100% my own! They’re a great awesome company perfect for orders for groups and events!!!
