Ok now you city slickers don’t laugh at me….. Considering my entrepreneurial spirit and the fact that we’re home school parents to 3 of our 4 kids we highly encourage them to start a business and find some way to make money. We tell them age is no excuse – you can make money at any age. Ok – now for the news…. We purchased a chicken house! Yes – a chicken house that holds 10 to 12 chickens and its absolutely adorable! The chickens are ordered and we should receive them sometime next week. I can’t believe I’m even finding myself excited! My youngest 2 kids ages 2 and 8 are going to be collecting eggs once the chickens start laying and they’ll be selling eggs and managing their egg business. Its already been an interesting experience and the chicks aren’t even here yet! My 2 year old fits through the little box hole in the wall that the chickens climb through to go into their yard. My 8 year old said this, “Why do I have to clean my room before the chicks come if they aren’t going to live in my room here with me?” I’m still laughing over that one! And listen to this…. the chicks come live to the post office! I’ll post more pictures once the chicks arrive – thought you might like a funny story today! What do you think?
