I have received so many e-mails for the exact recipe for the “Sausage Balls” in the last video for Feed your Family of 6 for $50.00 a Week that I wanted to post it below;
1 lb Ground breakfast sausage (hot, sage, mild etc – doesn’t matter, any brand)
1 Can Jellied Cranberry Sauce (usually a 15 oz can)
1 Box Stuffing (I usually use Stove top because there are so many coupons for it)
butter or margarine
1 Cup Water
Optional Egg to help the balls stick together (like a food glue)
Fry up the ground sausage and drain off any excess grease. Add water, stuffing mix, 3/4 can cranberry jelly. Mix well and form into balls. Freeze or refrigerate (or bake if you are ready to bake). Drizzle with butter or margarine when you bake at 360 Degrees for approximately 20 minutes. Serve warm.
These freeze or refrigerate really well if you want to prepare thi dish in advance. You could also just plop this is a casserole dish and bake and forget about forming them into balls like I do. Do not add any extra water as you would if you were preparing the Stove Top Stuffing and following the directions on the box.
Here is a coupon for $1.00 off 2 Boxes of Stove Top Stuffing.
