I just had a most disappointing call with Safeway Corporate! They have stated that “coupon stacking” (a store coupon with a manufacturers coupon) is no longer allowed – unless the manager at a specific Safeway allows it at their discretion! I was hugely disappointed to say the least! One reader called me today to let me know that her “stack” on peanut butter had been denied at the Arnold Safeway on Ritchie Highway Rt 2 Maryland. I have NEVER had a problem stacking coupons at Safeway. I wanted to hear back from readers what their experiences had been at Safeway and which Safeway store (state location please so that others know) You can state the info in “comments” under this post or on the Facebook Family Frugal Fun page. Thanks! As always, I greatly appreciate the comments and opinions of reader of this blog!!!

Just did the stacking coupons in Loveland, CO at Safeway on the Peanut Butter deal. They accepted it (that was Monday) – but they may have changed their policy since Monday AM?

So according to Safeway’s comment back to me on their Facebook page – you can use 1 manuf coupon with 1 store coupon.
I guess it means we have to get a bunch of the Safeway ads and cut out lots of their coupons to use with each of our manuf coupon. Stupid!
