Every Halloween gathering needs scary Halloween recipes and brain molds are definitely EASY! You can make a Jello brain mold or even a tuna salad brain mold.
Jello Halloween Brain Mold Recipe: (thanks to Kraft recipes)
- 2-1/2 cups boiling water (Do not add cold water.)
- 2 pkg. (8-serving size each) JELL-O Gelatin, any flavor
STIR boiling water into dry gelatin mix in large bowl at least 3 min. until completely dissolved. Pour into brain. REFRIGERATE at least 3 hours or until firm.
DIP bottom of pan in warm water 5-15 sec. Lift brain from pan.
Tuna Salad or Chicken Salad Brain Mold Recipe:
- 1 tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 tbsp. parsley
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1/2 tsp. salt, optional
- 1 can tuna or 1 c. chicken
- 1 tbsp. gelatin
- 1/4 c. cold water
- 1 c. salad dressing
Add lemon juice, parsley, celery, and seasonings to chicken or tuna. Soak gelatin in cold water until moistened. Add hot water until dissolved. Add to salad dressing. Mix all together then spoon into mold pushing down to be sure it fills all the crevices of the brain. Chill for a few hours until well set. Pop out and place on serving dish. Depending on the side of the brain mold you purchase you’ll likely need to double or triple the above recipe to fill the mold! My aunt has made this recipe before with salmon and that was delicious too!
