My friend Denise just sent a reminder to me about the USA Science & Engineering Festival held in Washington, DC on April 26th & 27th, 2014.
This is going to be a fabulous event for home school families! The event is held at the Washington Convention Center. This is the largest STEM educational event of it’s kind. Not familiar with STEM – Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math. The mission of STEM is to “re-invigorate the interest of our nation’s youth in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) by producing and presenting the most compelling, exciting, educational and entertaining science festival in the United States.” How cool is that! Especially for our homeschool families! Be sure to sign up for the newsletter, gather your group and GO! The event is completely FREE!
We went two yrs ago when this was held and it was amazing. As a homeschool family I can safely say we got a ton of information, did a lot of hands on things, and got to meet both the Mythbusters and sit in on a Q and A session with Mayim Bialik!
