Did you know that Target now offers price matching? Want to know how to use the Target Price Match Policy so you can save more? I thought you might so here is easy to understand a Question & Answer about how their price match policy works. Price matching at Target can save time so you don’t have to run from store to store (and saves in gas expenses too!)
Do you have to price match the day you buy?
No! After you have bought the item, if you find it for a lower price in the following week’s Target weekly ad or within seven days competitor’s local printed ad, or at a online competitor. You can bring it in to the services desk to get a price adjustment.
What do I need to show the lower price?
If you have an ad with a lower price when you are buying the item, take it to the services desk prior to your purchase. If you find it after you have made the purchase take the proof of current lower price (either ad or print out of online deal. You may also show your phone with the website deal) along with your original Target store receipt and proof of the current lower price. The retail price must be shown on the website or print ad.
Can my item be slightly different?
No! The item must be the identical item, brand name, size, weight, color, quantity and model number.
Can I price match more then one online deal at a time?
No! Only one competitor online price match per identical item, per guest at a time.
What if the item is not in stock, can I get a rain check?
No! If the item is not available in a Target store, a rain check will NOT be issued to match the online price or competitor’s print ad.
Do they excluded any ads?
Yes! If it is a limited time/limited supply/limited quantity deal they will NOT price match. Target will not price match Black Friday ads. They also will not price match typographical errors.
Do they excluded any items?
Yes! Target will NOT price match on any of the following items,
“Non-branded items (e.g., produce not marketed under a specific brand name).
Product services (warranties, assembly, etc.).
Target Portrait Studio, Optical and Clinic offers.
Contract cell phone plans and devices.”
