Things to Do
Of course sleeping in a beautiful area is only half the joy when visiting Prince William County Virginia. On our tour, we had a blast visiting historical places, eating fine foods, and visiting local places. Here’re some of the best things to do when visiting Prince William County Virginia:
Visit Manassas National Battlefield Park: It’s sad to think that all of Prince William County started here, but the rich history this park has to offer is extraordinary. Take a walk back into history as you get up close and personal to old cannons, learn about the Battle, and take a look at the appearance of the soldiers back in the day. This is where it all started…. this battlefield helped shape our country!
Drink at the Ornery Beer Company: The Ornery Beer Company had some of the best beer I have ever tasted brought to me in classy wine glasses. ☺It is the first brewpub to come into the area with 15 years of professional, perfecting brewing done by Head Brewer Chris Jacques and the food is absolutely DELICIOUS! Between the atmosphere, quality of the brew, and tasty dinner I’d say this brew house has 5 stars in my book!
Explore the National Museum of the Marine Corps: Our military go through a lot to protect and uphold the freedoms we have. While visiting the National Museum of the Marine Corps, I gained a whole new respect for our military as I learned about what makes a marine, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. Of course, you will want to stop by the Tun tavern while you’re there to enjoy a fresh drink. We had an awesome lunch with a fabulous “tavern feel” inside the museum. This museum is home to so many and the best way to show the next generation who we have to thank for our freedom! Hats off to these protectors…. the museum is an amazing tribute from the grounds to the Chapel on the hill to the exhibits! Families are there with children, solders, seniors…. everyone is touched in some way!
Eat at Duck Donuts Woodbridge: There is nothing that can quite beat a fresh warm donut with a piping cup of coffee to get you going in the morning, afternoon, or anytime. Made to order, you will find some of the most scrumptious donuts at Duck Donuts. They start with a delicious donut and then customize the toppings and ohhhh, they are seriously delicious!
Eat at the City Grille of Manassas: This locally owned restaurant prides itself in offering delicious food, drinks, and atmosphere for families. If you want great food and friendly staff, this is one is a great choice… Check out the outside fun and festive dining area! I love it!
Make some Strikes at uptown Alley: Bowling is a great way to spend time with the family, and at Uptown Alley, they want to make it that much more special. With 38 lanes an upscale family restaurant, a bar & grill, a sports theater, billiard room, 60 video games, live entertainment, and 57,000 square feet, there is something for everyone at Uptown Alley! We loved every square foot of it and although I didn’t “win” it was a blast!
Enjoy the Autobahn Races at Manassas Mall: A little healthy competition is always a fun for the family. Reaching speeds of up to 50 Miles per hour, get ready to fly past your family in this European-style indoor go-karting speedway.
